10 Best Places to visit in Florida

With Floridas miles and miles of shoreline, the Sunshine State is clearly a prime vacation place. It has many diverse destinations so it can be hard to pick what place is right for you to visit for your next getaway! This is why I have made list with the 10 Best Places to visit in Florida for you.

1. Miami Beach

Go to Miami Beach and experience a mix of cultures and a wide variety of people. All from families looking for sun and fun to celebrities, models, professional athletes and retired seniors. Miami Beach is the Riviera of America. For family friendliness go to North Miami Beach for calmer beaches and more affordable restaurants and hotels. From there it is less than 10 miles from the museums, galleries and theaters of Greater Miami.

And then there’s South Beach. This is the super chic neighborhood for high-end stores, dinner at the cutting-edge fusion restaurants. Dance on the tables at the pulsing nightclubs and poolside relaxation at the art deco-style hotels. Enjoy cocktails at a rooftop bar and go shopping at Lincoln Road Mall. And then just enjoy time at the beautiful beach and be ready to exercise your credit card.

2. Key West

Key West, the southern most point for the United States. Its Caribbean vibe offers a relaxed live-in-the-moment philosophy together with warm white sandy beaches and seaside adventures. It has a wonderful relaxed atmosphere and you can enjoy walking up and down the Duval Street. While strolling you can stop at one of the many bars or go shopping in Mallory Square. Mallory Square is where the sunset festivities are held every night for you to enjoy. While in Key West take a tour in Ernest Hemingway’s old home. Don’t forget to stop by the Sloppy Joe’s bar open since 1933. It offers live music and dancing plus a separate tap room for watching sports.

You can have a firm itinerary but I recommend you throw it out the window and take stroll, sip a margarita, watch the protected hens and roosters and set your own pace.

3. Naples

Naples is a beautiful place on the Paradise Coast. This little town as an Italian feel to it and it’s even named after the coastal Italian city Naples. It’s known for it relaxed ambience, luxury and world class golf. Here you will find high-end restaurants, first class hotels and some of the most beautiful white sugary beaches of Southerns Florida’s Gold Coast. Americas Napoli is one of the most romantic and relaxing beach destinations in the States. Take your special someone and venture down to Florida’s city of love. 

This does not mean only couples should go to Naples. It is a place for all ages and there are many outdoorsy attractions. Visit the botanical gardens, Naples Zoo, fishing, paddle boarding or go shopping on 5th Ave. Naples is for everyone to enjoy!

4. Orlando

Orlando, a city in central Florida. It’s like not other city in Florida, United States, the World even! In Orlando people go to play and celebrate the spirit of childhood. Orlando is home to more than a dozen theme parks such as Walt Disney World including Magic Kingdom, Epcot and water parks. Other famous parks are Universal Orlando including Universal Studios and Island of Adventures.

Orlando is really a place for all ages to visit and enjoy. There are also more to do an to visit theme parks. Thanks to the the subtropical climate golfing is great and the downtown city landscape is too attractive not to explore.

5. Clear Water Beach

Floridas west coast’s pride sits along a thin island on the west coast. Located within a closeness of 25 miles of both Tampa and St. Petersburg. This beautiful coast area is known for its laid back atmosphere. It’s ranked among the most beautiful beaches in the United States and you will also find a number of attractions.

If you are not at the beach relaxing and swimming you can go paddle boarding, riding jet skis, parasailing among many other water related sports. Clear Water Beach also has historical theaters, parks, shopping districts and many beach front restaurants. At the Clear Water Marine Aquarium you can see dolphins etc. If you are into sports the trip would be complete by watching a game at Spectrum Field during MLB’s spring training season.

6. Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale fulfills many of sunny dreamers requirements when it comes to beaches, palm trees, shopping and relaxation. It is also close to pulsing city life. Fort Lauderdale is close to its neighbor Miami but the vibe is different. Fort Lauderdale’s long stretches of beaches are seen as some of the best statewide. That together with its fantastic scenery, great restaurants and a wide range of things to do Fort Lauderdale is fantastic! It is also gentler to your wallet compared to similar vacation destinations. 7. Jupiter

8 Boca Raton

Boca as the locals call it is part of the Palm Beaches and is the second largest in the area. Boca is known for its beautiful beaches and parks, wildlife conservation and educational centers. The upscale city is also home to famous art museum and theater. There are also many high end designer boutiques and a vibrant restaurant scene. 

50 miles north of Miami you find Boca Raton with a 47 mile Atlantic coast line. From the beginning the city was designed to be the prime resort town in the early 20th century. That was when the East Coast railroad made the state open to tourists. The original Boca Raton Resort & Club is a pink Mediterranean style castle. It is one of the most iconic buildings in the city.  

9 Everglades National Park

Beautiful Floridas is very famous for its beaches and its theme parks. But Florida is also well known for its alligators. The best place to see them are in Everglades National Park. Well you might see them in any fresh water such as lakes or slow moving rivers etc. But in Everglades you are guaranteed to see them.

The park is the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States. It is the only place in the world where alligators and crocodiles coexist. If you go there you might also see more rare species like manatees and panthers. 

There are many trails and guided tours to navigate through its 1.5 million acres for wilderness. The best time to visit id in the dry season November to April for more comfortable temperatures. It is also fewer mosquitos and better chances to see wildlife.

10. Siesta Key

Siesta Key is a barrier island located off on the Paradise Coast (Gulf of Mexico). It is often considered one of the best and most beautiful beaches in the USA. The beach in Siesta Key is 8 miles of crystal clear blue water and white sugary sand. Then add shopping dining and night entertainment to that you have a top destination for your sunny dreams.
